It's perfectly fine without the cable hooked up, to be honest, if I ever fix it I'll just move my throttle wheel onto the current thingy and hold the cable with one of the random brackets hanging out.

idel loop can be caused by a

idel loop can be caused by a high idel setting on the throttle body, it kind of sounds like that might be your issue, as you said you had a high fast idel, of course I had to call the dealer to find this out, but a simple half turn of the idel speed screw fixed it.

What would you guess was you improvement with the MPFI was? I really want to do this but I think I am too stupid to do it (well at least not yet).

I have no idea, I'm not worried though because meh, anyway, the airflow is seriously messed up because of port sizing, so whatev, you can ask me any questions and I'd be happy to help if you'll be doing it sometime I'm free. I'm def happy I did it, even if just for show,

wait wait, you said the port sizing is different? which is bigger the im side or the head?
