Ok, it's just a hair over $5k.

I know it's not really practical for most people, but it's a pretty decent start based on a minimalist design.

Now I'm kinda wishing I didn't just revisit that web page however. If I sold my Escort, Tercel, and used part of my tax refund, I could actually afford to get one . .

Naw, I think I'm going to stick with my most recent plan to electrify a bicycle and keep the heated comfort of the cars for miserable weather/family use.

Anyway, I think we can expect to see a crash in the oil futures market in the not so distant future. Despite a recent article that suggests market reserves of gasoline are down, there is no current shortage of crude or refining capacity. The refiners have simply scaled back production to match demand.
Snax,

cool vehicle! i'd buy a four door model if the idea ever expanded and the price came down, as much new tech does, with time.

the quotes by Gandhi and P Tucker are a nice motivational touch. i prefer...

I am not in Europe, nor in South America. I live in and am an American. I have a family. I have owned one car that had a V8 when I got my third car more than 15 years ago. I had3 (6 cylinders) cars. I have had 6 (4 bangers). I think I have been doing an ok job to reduce my fuel useage.

I always hear on the news about what the "Average" gas station is charging for gas. Here in California, we are so blessed to have so may "Above Average" gas stations!

the number of cylinders does not effect fuel economy, displacement perhaps, but i can think of a handle of 6 cylinder cars that get waaay better fuel economy than more than half of the 4 cylinders out there. the same is true of 6 to 8.

Id have to agree with you there. My buddy at work has a modded 97 Mustang GT and gets just as good or better mpg's than my 98 v6 Mustang. I think its becuase he has a manual and im auto though .

Exact same reply to two different threads pointing to the latest and greatest water burning system.Aside from the fact I don't believe water burns, I see this as straight up SPAM.

sure water will burn, you just have to separate it into hydrogen and oxygen first.

I'll stay on the side lines to watch how that goes with the believers there of. I'd be worried the police would mistake it for a rolling meth lab.
