... i graduated in 06 and i am doing ok...

i know the economy isnt doing too well, i am not getting paid for overtime right now.

anyway, what are you doing in philly with a college degree making less than 100 a day? i guess it depends on the degree, but you are better off in a more affordable area making the same amount or less.

I got an associates degree, but have to work full time because of family situation so i might head back to school later on. i'm a shuttle bus driver making 8.5 an hour (beats minnimum wage)

I know alot of friends who cant top 10 an hour (OR making more than 12 an hour faxing papers and doing grunt work as a administrative assistant) after getting degrees at drexel, upenn, temple, etc. its all entry level jobs or jobs that isnt in their field

but, on the other hand, maybe 2 out of 10 friends that i know come out, and gets right into a middle class job and making bank, sometimes it just depends on luck

I'm sure some of those high wage earners are wondering which to sell for less than they paid for it: the sub-prime house or the SUV that takes the days wages of most people to fill up.

What about the mid-western Gays who have i'm "fabulicious" attitudes and believe they need the biggest house available and drive fuel sucking SUV's everywhere just to let you know they have more money that you.

civic94 I think 5 a gallon would make americans actually sell their suv's and get smaller cars.
Good point but, who are they selling them to.

i work full time and i am still going to school... i dont have kids but i know guys that do and are wrapping up their masters. bro you can do better, it just takes a lot more work and networking to get somewhere. you are getting benefits right?

i also know a few wealthy people that love their toyota prius(s?) and civic hybrids.

the only wealthy people i know that have suvs are my parents (crv) and my uncle (chevy tahoe) who has 4 kids and a landscaping business. perhaps a good portion of the wealthy are where they are because of how they live not the other way around.

They too are being wasteful- did that need to be clarified?

BUT they aren't adding to the population overload. Geez, the concept isn't that difficult is it?

What do you mean IF milk was $5 a gallon?

It's already 4.59...
Plus tax...

What do I get back here, a quarter?

Does the Bug-E count?

Ok, it's just a hair over $5k.

I know it's not really practical for most people, but it's a pretty decent start based on a minimalist design.

Now I'm kinda wishing I didn't just revisit that web page however. If I sold my Escort, Tercel, and used part of my tax refund, I could actually afford to get one . .

Naw, I think I'm going to stick with my most recent plan to electrify a bicycle and keep the heated comfort of the cars for miserable weather/family use.

Anyway, I think we can expect to see a crash in the oil futures market in the not so distant future. Despite a recent article that suggests market reserves of gasoline are down, there is no current shortage of crude or refining capacity. The refiners have simply scaled back production to match demand.

Gas here in Halifax, Nova Scotia hit $1.289/L!!! To convert to gallons: (1L = 0.264172 gallons) = $4.879/gallon!!! And the Canadian and US dollar are fairly close to being equal right now. This is nuts!!!!
