$1.209 now in my city for 1 litre. A new record and it's not even summer yet! I'm definitely savoring the remaining 2/3rds of a tank I have left from my previous fill.

It was $3.16 yesterday here in NC. It seems to be increasing at about 8 cents a day.

Gosh if only our wages increased like that.

Once I enroll in college later this year I'll be driving a moped that gets 80 - 100 mpg. Wonder why more people don't drive them for short commutes.

Ever been on the road on a moped, look in the rear view and see an Excursion coming at you 50MPH faster than you with the driver on the phone? I've rethought my own plans to ride my bike to work and will get a small motorcycle instead, so I can have high speeds at my disposal. You never know when you will need it, and losing my life to save a gallon of gas isn't even worth considering.

NE Fuel Prices

Today, 87 octane in Pennsylvania (at least north of Philly) is around 3.059/gal at most stations. I did manage to find it as low as 2.959 (and filled up) and as high as 3.139 with in a few mile radius of my house.

Gas jumped again today in my city:

$1.259 per litre (~$4.353 US$ / US gallon)

I'm so lucky I didn't buy that Jeep Grand Cherokee last summer. Otherwise a one-way road trip to Edmonton (around 500 miles) would gobble around $115 in fuel alone.

Meh, what can you do. Even a normal sized chocolate bar runs $1.25 at a convenience store here now .

Ouch! It's up to $3.01 to $3.10 a gallon here. Glad I just brought home supplies to get rid of the mirrors and put on an air dam!

It is unfortunate how little control we have over the price of gas... I suppose that's why we are here, can't control the price, so control the usage!

I was traveling for work and ran across a Wawa Gas Station in Trexlertown Pa that was 2.529 per gallon and 2.479 if you paid cash. This is about 30 cents less per gallon than every other station in the area. I don't know why they were that much less than everyone else, but I stopped and filled. There were lines at all the pumps and it took an extra 5-10 minutes, but I saved over 3.00 on the fill up.

If they can sell for this little, why can't everyone else? I thought it also odd that they seperated out a cash price (even on the $ sign out front). It's been years since I saw a seperate price for cash. I guess they are 'passing on the savings' from avoiding charges from the credit card companies.

Anyway, if anyone is from the Allentown Pa area. Best price around is at the Wawa on Hamilton Blvd on the way to Trexlertown.
