gas saving tips?

If you think you can be comfortable DDing a Fusion, that would be quite effective. I can't imagine going from only ever driving a Z06/Viper/Mach1 to DDing a Fusion, but if you'd be comfortable with that, that's great. I didn't want to scare you off by suggesting it.

nah no scaring me bud. im gonna be realistic here. id like to sell the viper and really get a fusion as a DD.

i love the car to death but really why do i need 3 toys and up until i started DD'ing the viper it was the car that had the least amount of miles put on it. ive had it maybe 4 years and put maybe 1500 miles on it. given a lot of that time was for the motor build and the paint job but it just doesnt get driven much. it really makes sense to me to dump it and get a decent DD, while still having the mustang and the vette as play toys.

Probably because its a Dodge, I would trade it in on cash for cluckers for sure, get you a 4cyclinder kia.

For someone who has gathered that collection of cars, you are far more practical than I expected.

If you get the Fusion that will probably be a great improvement and a decent family car.

Have you tried caulking your headlights on that viper yet? I would try that before I took any more drastic measures, I know I've doing it to my truck this weekend.

haha, im just being realistic, my kids are getting older everyday and i need to start reallocating some money elsewhere besides just having a bunch of nice "toys".

i siliconed them when i bought the car as the POS' kept getting moisture in them and i wasnt gonna drop 350 a light for new ones

If the kids are small you can fit them in the back of the viper, I know thats where I make mine ride when I take them to school in the vette. I can fit the two smallest kids in the hatch easy.

You probably sealed them but didn't block off the gap around them. Gaps on the front of the car can benefit aerodynamically from caulking. I've never tried it.

In a recent thread, someone recommended some caulk that is easy to remove. I can't find that post now.

hmmm, that wouldnt be too bad other than if they mean to chaulk them to the hood as well as im always popping the hood lol.

i cant fit jack in the trunk of the viper, it stuffed with dual nitrous tanks, sub, amp, methanol injection tank, fuel pump controller, etc
