It seems like a simple conversion for a engine. I don't know anything about bottling the NG, that seems like it would require some fancy equipment.

NG; specific gravity 0.65 BTU per cubic ft. 900-1150 BTU per gal. 41400 ratio for complete combustion 4.73:1
Propane; specific gravity 1.52 BTU per cubic ft. 2516 BTU per gal. 91,690 at 60degF ratio for complete combustion 30:1
Butane; specific gravity 2.00 BTU per cubic ft. 3280 BTU per gal. 102,032 at 60degF ratio for complete combustion 23.40:1

I assume you are going to run the gas under pressure threw an electronic injector.
You need to consider the size of the orifice in the injector
the equation for which is:
Q=1326 * A * sq root of (H/G)
where:
Q=discharge in cu ft per hr
A= Area of orifice in sq in
H= pressure in inches of water column
G= specific gravity of gas
(source the Kiln Book materials, specifications & construction third edition by: Frederick L Olsen)

So with NG you need a fare amount of fuel in comparison with propane or gasoline; which requires a big orifice in the injector and or high pressure at the injector. I don't know for sure, but it seems like one could drill out there stock injectors and use a simple welding regulator just hooked to the fuel rail. Doing the math to find the proper orifice and pressure it tricky. You need to know how long your injectors open with gasoline and figure out how much NG you need to flow threw in that time. Then, i would, plug in that number with the size of the stock injector orifice to see what pressure you would need. (i suspect it would be dangerously high with NG)

oh one more thing 1psi=27.6799 Water column inches

That was my first reaction too. That site is very tough on the eyes. It appears to be a site for discussing really good ideas, and asking for really good ideas.

From the site:
Quote:
Marilyn was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for five years under "Highest IQ" for both childhood and adult scores.
It appears to have been an attempt at a compliment and a "thank you".

My mechanic says his Prius Instructor said there is a unit that uses the vehicles stock injectors.

I've also learned there are some dangerous kits. Not going there.
