My crx was rear ended

My crx hf vx swap was rear ended and I have been looking for a hatch shell. I found a couple but I kinda want to get away from the death traps. The ford focus that hit me had no damage. I mean not even a scratch in the paint. The back of my car was flattened to the point that the passenger side door is pinched. I want to put an hx motor in a 96-00 hatch. Minus power steering with a vx tranny and hx wheels. With the better engine design it could be comparable.

That is my fear when people get so into the CRX. It's really quite flimsy. My sister was in a collision with one. The CRX was smashed and the driver was hurt. My sister's Oldsmobile Achieva (not a big heavy car - 2800 pounds) and body were nowhere near as damaged.

This is the second 88-91 civic I have been in a crash with. The first was an 88 hatch and the guy who crashed into me drove an olds aurora. He glanced me when I was going straight. My front left wheel was pinched in the fenderwell and he busted a headlight.

I have heard that the Hatches (which arnt that safe) look like a tank compared to the CRX's. Although, I have to say. Almost everything looks flimsy compared to my Grand prix 4 door. Its a friggin tank, Although it does have a tendency to lose body panels. I rear ended a dodge caliper and I (mainly) just got scratches, along with losing a grille, headlight housing, and pushing the front bumper in about a quarter inch. The caliper only got minor scuffs.

I might mention that the wreck I had was at about 25ish MPH. I was *distracted* Plus im 16 and that was the 3rd? week I had my license. Not one of those moves I am very proud of
