Yes it does have a knock sensor and no pinging. But without a SG I'm just shooting in the dark. I never see over 2000 rpm most of the time it's between 1500-1700 . I'm sure I can go quite a way with. I'll have to set it run a few tanks make an adjutment etc. but even then unless it's a huge change it's all just guess work whether it helps or not. As long as I can keep the trend going up that what count's.

Just got back from the South Florida Radical Activist Convention in Miami. On the way back I managed to hit a new record tank at 45.7 mpg for part of the trip in which I was driving in the middle of nowhere at 55 mph.

working on a record tank for in town driving. current record is 291 but that had some highway miles in it so i'm gonna say this is a record tank for in town driving right now! have been doing eoc alot more and that along wiht the warms temps we have been having is most likely why i am where i am. makes me wonder what i will swee in the summertime when day time temps are low 90's and night barely get below 80.

repete: across the alley?? just sit in the right hand lane at 50-55 and watch the cars jet by you.

thnx buddy! got the fuel adjustment wrong on my last refuel so i use the sanguage to kepp whatever readings i get as high as possible.

right now i have the air inlet blocked on my air filter housing. i took off the silencer and folded over some foil and blocked off the opening the goes into the inner fender, so now engine breaths through the silencer opening and hopefully that air will be a lil warmer that outside.

Hello -

A new personal best with a comparison of the weather :

Route : 105 East -> 710 North -> 10 East -> exit freeway -> North on Rosemead
Net Elevation change : ~788 feet up (+210 on freeway, +578 on streets)

I did my usual Pulse and Glide (the mild kind with engine idling). Traffic tonight was a little too fast for my taste, but obviously it didn't hurt me. Here is what I think were the contributing factors :

- Similar weather conditions to the previous runs (it's been hot in LA the last few days).
- The Warm(er) Air intake is running a little hotter, maybe 125 deg F on the freeway.
- When I got off the freeway I was at exactly 50 MPG. My previous best off the freeway
was less than 47 MPG, so I was able to nurse it home to hit the mark.
- Slightly lower MPH Max and Avg.

well friday i got paid and fuel gauge was below 1/4 so i refueled and got a nice surprize. i knew was gonna be a good tank cause was near 300 mile at 1/4 tank left and when i refueld was showing 320 mile and ended up with 36.24 mpg. looks like the hypermiling is starting to show now!

Fired up the Blackfly today after a couple of weeks of sitting. 2 cold starts, 2 very short trips (under 3 km), snow on the roads, -6C, full lights, blower, defroster, alternator probably working like mad to recharge a slightly flat battery ...

= 43.8 mpg round trip.

Yay winter.

Another unexpected (rushed) trip today = no EBH. Same conditions as yesterday (a little less snow on the roads). The difference: 1 cold start/round trip before the engine cooled right off between legs.

= 50.3 mpg (US). Still !
