That is prolly the best approach, whatever is the closest engine/tranny combo that you have today. Someone should remind SVOboy to do the same.

I'm going to test Coleman's...when I get done with the 2 tests I'm doing now...FA2000 and Condensator.

Any preliminary data on the condensator?

I just posted a good tank over 39.0 and that leaving the fishing pole at home. But alast I've hit the wall.

I've been having a pretty good week for fuel savings. After getting fed-up with my lousy 51mi round-trip highway commute, I started playing with Google Earth and found a way to use secondary roads to cut that down to just 38mi daily. It's going to be a very tough nut to crack because I'm going from 95% highway driving (not terribly complicated from the standpoint of technique) to roughly 70% rural back roads from stop sign to stop sign, which requires much more effort to maximize. However, the fuel savings are going to be worth it. In order to use as much fuel on the new commute as I used on the old one, I would need to get my FE down to 29mpg! My first two trials were 36mpg in the afternoon (up-hill) and 40mpg in the morning. That works out to 37.9mpg combined, 0.9975 gal/day, and reduces my daily fuel consumption by a total of 0.27 gallons. My gas log won't look as pretty for now but the fuel savings will be well worth it! My goal is to get it up to 45mpg in the morning, 39mpg in the afternoon.

I probably drive 95% backroads. I drive longer distances, but at slower speeds. Main thing is to keep the pedal out of the metal from those stop signs.

Weird thing last night - was doing my usual Ocean Drive loop and then a little more - 52.7mpg 21 miles - was lugging it at 18mph in 5th without touching the gas and was getting 90MPG.

Another thing that really bugs me and I may need to hack the code to fix this is if I turn on the AC going down hill with my foot off the gas it adds fuel and accelerates when it already is going in gear.

Monitoring the LOD reading on the ScanGauge really shows how much lugging I am doing - check it out sometime. It is supposed to be the Percentage of output of the engine at any RPM and it is easy to push it to 75-90% output at low RPM - may be a good test for finding the idea RPM/Load efficiency of the motor.
