Pic's from the Electric car meet

An interesting combination of hardware here. My saturn, EV civic, EV s10, and a cummins powered chevy short bus running biodiesel.

A zap truck. These things are neat and usable. 25 miles of range and 40mph for around $12k.

This is a nice S10. A professionally converted S10 built by a kansas company. There name is EVBlue.

A homebuilt EV by the maeaa.org moderator. 144volt civic, stock clutch and trans, and daily driven. He has a working civic pusher trailer that is operated using the oem cruise control stalk in his EV. And eligant solution.

My favorite but not an EV. The bio diesel bus. Sporting a 4 cylinder cummins 4bt. 3.9liter , 120hp VE rotary pump, turbocharged. Trans is a 5 speed ZF ford backed by a dana 70. Soon to be added a 3 speed auxilary trans. Wow what a neato find. This guy is doing exactly what I've been simmering in my mind for years. Best of all he gets about 20mpg at a gross weight of 8500lbs.

The bus guy had previously built an econoline van that got high 20s. He used a muncie trans for that swap. The cummins munched the 9" ford axle though. Well I guess that blows my idea of using a stock axle in a half ton suburban.

Wow. The Civic intrigues me the most. For me, the pusher-trailer is a mixture of cool-terrifying :

I second the terrifying. A generator or battery trailer always sounded like a better plan to me.
