I thought it was cute, articulated a point, and provided an (hopefully) obvious juxtaposition, one of my favorite artistic techniques. I'm planning on showing it to some other people anyway.

( Thanks folks ! )

As far as the title "nerds laugh at me" what that means is that I do things that are so odd that even nerds think I'm wierd.
Perhaps 'nerds pick on me' would have been a better title.

It runs in my family.
Once my grandfather had my grandma hold a home made wind guage out the window of the car while he sped up to 80 mph.
My grandmother held on to it with all her might while my grandfather checked the calibration.
With the huge instrument spinning faster and faster, and pulling back, she couldn't hold onto it any longer and the thing ripped out of her hands and backwards into oncoming traffic.
She was so embarassed of him ... but these are the things that made him unique.

Once you account or the larger diameter of the tires, you will probably find that you still getting ~40 mpg. :-)
