I redid the math using what the MID says and your thoughts and it came out to 46.3 mpg, I guess I'll just stop messing around with it and wait to get calibrated!

Just covered up the hole in the body where the old shifter was and stuck on the center console. Still haven't found my camera, *shrug*

Anyway, any ideas on how to mount the superMID to the middle-top of the dash without messing up the dash?

I find that you can jam it between the windshield and the dash, where the MID would form the hypotenuse of a triangle. I just use a 1/2" wide strip of duct tape, 1/4" on the windshield and 1/4" on the top of the LCD case to keep it from moving around. You might consider moving it to the far left where it will be less conspicuous. Mine us under the safety and emmissions stickers and you cannot see it from the front of the car. The stickers also act as a sun shield which will help keep the MID from overheating while sitting in the sun. The MID is just as easy to read from the left or the center of the dash. I can keep my eyes on the road either way.

Eh, I prefer center of the dash myself, but one of the things I want is to keep it on the same plane with the other things I need to look at. I'll prolly try to fond some non-damaging velcro or something when I get some money.

Care to explain how I change the distance variables when I get my first tank done with?

Yes, velcro will work just fine. I have the self sticky type.

I don't know why you would wait to change the distance parameter. I would set it to 2482 which is what I use. That should get you close. Just hit the top button until you are on the distance parameter screen. Press the second button from the top to increase or the third button from the top to decrease. When you the new value is where you want it, press the bottom button to accept the new value.

I have found that when compared to the distance recorded by the google earth calibrated MID, my odometer overstates mileage by 3.5%. The speedometer overstates speed by 7%. So 60 MPH is actually 56.

So, set it to 2482 and then over the course of the next tank I should sometime go out and do mile markers on the highway? How will I know how many kms the MID is logging?

Yes, 2482, and do the mile markers or use google earth. For the mile marker method I would go at least 50 miles to minimize the error from placement of the mile posts.

The most interesting data to look at on the MID are:
  • Instantaneous FE (km/L) - Upper left corner
  • Average FE (km/L) - Left side third value from the top
  • Distance Traveled (km) - Right side third value from the top
  • Fuel Consumed (L) - Lower right corner
See the instructions PDF for more detail.

Pictures pictures, was just out putting carpet in, so admire this stuff.

97 LS Integra Gauge Cluster:

My shifter and the holes I covered up below it (And the lack of a shift boot)

My yearbook! Graduation is tomorrow, w00t w00t, dartmouth, here I come.

Anyway, it just started pouring, so I'll move it into the garage to finish up stuff in the interior, *shrug*

PS: My shift linkage bolt fell out yesterday (bolt, not the proper pin) so I got another 12mm bolt from a spare IM where the IACV attachs, will work fine until my pin gets in stock on tuesday at honda ($1.37).

Anyway, la la la, I can't think of anything else.

Budomove, when do you wanna do your tranny? I'm free anytime now and I'd like to get some practice so mehbe I can get a few clutch jobs this summer,

If you'll notice I have 61 miles on the tank, and when I won't be in school I don't anticipate going around a lot, so we'll see.
