Removing side view mirrors

Looking at my Cavalier station wagon, I got to thinking the other day. The stock mirrors stick out quit a bit on either side of the car. I can get some very small bicycle mirrors and put inside the car, but angled so I can still see to the sides of me. I also have my rear view mirror so visibility is not an issue.

I imagine the FE gains would be minimal, but I don't have any experiance doing thsi mod so I could be wrong. Has anyone tried this?

if you drive mostly city, then its a waste of time to do that. but if you drive alot of highway, it will help a little bit (not shure mow much) since the aerodynamic drag is less.
