Removing Vehicles from Garage

In Fuelly, I have a couple of vehicles in my "Garage" that I no longer own.

I keep them in there because I kept meticulous fuel mileage readings. I never miss a fuel-up, and I kept accurate odometer readings. I'd like that data to be available for others who are researching these vehicles.

If I remove these vehicles from my garage, is all of that data lost or does Fuelly keep that available for others to do research on?

You should simply "retire" these vehicles. To do this you go to the Vehicle page, click edit. Then scroll way down to the bottom to select Retire. Here is the description you see about Retire but really, if you contact us, we can bring it back for you.

A retired vehicle still appears on your profile page and in public statistics, but it won't show up in your garage, or your dashboard, or in your list of vehicles to fuel-up. Optionally, you can change the description to let others know why the vehicle was retired.

You can't bring a vehicle out of retirement, so please choose carefully.

Cool, thanks.

I also took a moment to tack my current and "retired" vehicles to my signature.
