I don't know about anywhere else, but in Southern California, from what I can determine, it doesn't seem to have really slowed anyone down, at all. Gas is up around $3.55 a gallon and people driving SUV's and Trucks are still driving at 80 on the freeway's.

I think it may have caused some people to reduce the number of trips they make or so forth, because their doesn't seem to be quite as much congestion. However in looking at the vehicles, the vast majority are still single passenger, so I don't think that people are car pooling any more than they did before the prices took another jump.
