I filled the tank up today for a new personal best. 11.617 gallons for 494.4 miles = 42.56mpg! I think the new driving technique is paying off.

I filled up last night. By far, new record tank... 514.2 miles on 8.526 gallons of gas = 60.31 mpg . That station had 89 for the same price as 87, so I filled up with 89 to see if it makes a difference. It may help me lug the engine on early upshifts .
The start of this new tank wasn't too good this morning. I had to fight a thunderstorm in the dark on my way to work with high winds and torrential rains.

First Fill for me in the competition. 371.1 miles and 8.962 gallons for 41.63 MPG at 34 MPH. I haven't peaked yet. It should have been close to 43 but got stuck on the interstate due to a major accident and lost over 1 MPG on my tank I've got the LRR tires on now so next tank will reflect that. Go Team OB!

I just got 37.91mpg, over 196.3 miles, and 5.18 gallons . This tank is a commuting tank, and this is the best I have ever got for a pure commuting tank!. My next tank won't be so good - started well, but I started the car about 40 times trying to test SuperMID with my Oscilloscope The fuel gauge dropped significantly (I managed to warm the engine up to the point where the cooling fans came on, twice, without moving the car at all).

This week: 4 miles, 74.9 mpg (SG), 14 mph avg. I've been biking everywhere since the weather warmed up.

And I still haven't re-adjusted the SG - it was overly optimistic on my last fill up.

I'll do the weekly summary later this evening - everybody get your reports in if you haven't already.

1,213 miles on 25.88 gallons: 46.87 mpg

Topped off the tank yesterday. It took 22 gallons. The total fuel is 25.88 gallons when the 3.88 gallons of petrodiesel I had used in an interim to further thin the biodiesel blend (unexpectedly cold two weeks ago) is added. The overall blend ended up averaging B45. The onboard display showed 48.6 mpg average, not that far off the amount consumed. It also showed a 34 mph average, 34 hours 55 minutes of operation and the 1,213 miles.

I forgot about the left coasters being a couple hours behind. So I'll update the results tomorrow. (Plus with 2 weeks data, I have to change my spreadsheet to properly weigh the 2 weeks' reports.)
