Does the engine run well or is it on its last leg? Maybe you could find another metro with a blown engine and swap in your engine.

The engine had some minor problems, it was mostly the entire body that had the problems. Definitly not worth the effort of an engine swap when I dont like the car anyways. It just isnt safe for the weather around here

Keep the clunker and add a scooter instead of another car...just an idea.
Keep the clunker? You mean make a lawn ornimate out of it? I dont see the reasoning there..

I drive alot on the freeway, and wouldnt own a scooter anyways. Again, bad weather..

if you want a bigger car, try getting a 1.8 litre or 2.0 litre manual medium size car (e.g. Nissan, or Saturn etc). E.g. Nissan Bluebird / Altima. You can still get good economy in them if they are manual - I got over 50mpg in mine! and it is bigger than a metro...

Exactly Vette! Thank God I was only going like 20mph. After it ripped out, the tire was at a huge angle (severe negative chamber wise) and toe'd out.

Metro went to the boneyard today, might find another one or something similar. XFi would be awesome...
