Funny - I did the same snooping.

I think you're on the right track going for the vx. Just be aware that you will probably have to go thru most things on the car to get everything set up for good fe...especially the oxygen sensor, spark plugs, LRR tires, etc. Judging from peoples experience on this site, many of the vxs were not going into lean burn properly when purchased. When you get the car look back in the archives, there is a lot of good troubleshooting vx info. You will be happy once you get the lean burn working!

They are not the original alloys... but I luckily have a set here already.

There is some small cosmetic damage on the drivers side, but it's not enough for me to care.

The clutch doesn't engage until the very top of the petal... does that make sense? If it were a cable clutch I'd just tighten it, but I don't know how these hydraulic clutches work. Could it just be the slave cylinder?

I have a new o2 sensor here... the vehicle has a new distributor. I'm going to get the proper plugs/wires next week, as no one ever has the right ones put on when they replace them.

The interior is immaculate, except I think a fuse or two is blown. The dome light didn't come on, and the climate controls didn't light up when I turned on the lights.

The A/C blows way cold though, which is nice.

210k on the engine doesn't scare me... as I'll just put the spare in from the frankencivic.

The clutch, if it was bad or if the master cylinder/slave cylinder were bad would engage near the floorboard. Engaging near the top of the pedal travel is normal. Could be that the pedal height was not adjusted correctly. Open the reservoir for the clutch master cylinder and make sure the last guy didn't overfill it (common mistake).

I'm sure you will keep us posted with any glitches and we will be happy to diagnose them for you too.

that's good info. I can check the reservoir tomorrow, or the pedals. I think they were after market pedals, so that's a real possibility.

Oh, and SVOBoy, I get it tomorrow... kinda works out as the guy in Denver sold his VX today for $2400.

Great buy. Especially with the AC still blowing cold. Master and/or slave cylinder should be easy enough to find used and install.
