Gas is under a dollar/litre for the first time in four years! 99.9/litre in Ottawa today.

$2.379/g seems to be the most "popular" price here right now.

It's predicted that fuel could drop below £1 a litre again here, for gas anyway, in the next few weeks. I'll beleive it when I see it though!

Jcp385 12-17-2014 08:55 AM

I'm seeing stations at $2.219/g these days. By the time I fill up, I guarantee I'll be seeing under $2.20, maybe close to $2.10.

Seeing $2.15 for regular here today.

It's nice to be able to fill up the car for $30, instead of $50...

Draigflag 12-18-2014 06:18 AM

Still costs me the equivelent of $100 to fill my 11 gallon tank, and thats cheap :(

Kuripot_Kevin 12-18-2014 07:23 AM

About $2.30 here, and costs me $23.00 to fill the Accent with 10 gallons when the low gas light pops on. Gas is going for $1.79 at a couple stations in OK

Only down to $2.259 for Shell and BP...saw Kroger for 2.189 but I won't use it. Tried Kroger brand in the past, get 3 mpg less (or more) on Kroger fuel than I do Shell.

That's hard to believe. What do you attribute the difference to? Did they both contain ethanol?

hypermarquis 12-18-2014 11:01 AM

Kevin, I have tried Kroger brand in all 3 of my vehicles several times. All show a loss of 3 mpg or more compared to Shell. Research on the net has shown that Shell can be up to but does not exceed 10% ethanol. Kroger brand as much as 15% (e85). That's the drop. Labeling ethanol content on pumps is not required in KY.
