Bacon appreciation thread

lol

I don't know about you guys, but I love bacon. Nothing like a nice strip of perfectly cooked bacon.

I cook with bacon salt quite often:

Some awesome bacon foods:

Or bacon hot dogs!

I'm hungry now. Time for lunch!

bowtieguy 04-02-2009 12:24 PM

LOL!, i thought it was going to be a political thread about pork spending.

Jay2TheRescue 04-02-2009 12:26 PM

Oooh, bacon! I like to get it fresh cured, and have the butcher slice it thick. I grill it on the grill, right beside the burgers. Talk about delicious!

bowtieguy 04-02-2009 12:27 PM

bacon, cheese and hotdogs. a cardiologist's nightmare, or goldmine depending on the POV! :D

Jay2TheRescue 04-02-2009 12:54 PM

Now all my employees are talking about is when I'm gonna make them this delicious bacon treat...

You guys get regular cholesterol checks, right? :)

Jay2TheRescue 04-02-2009 01:06 PM

Regular enough... I made a rotisserie chicken last night with long grain brown rice. Man was that good...

the latest research shows that cholesterol(even the bad) is vital to the body especially the brain and nerves. an outcast doctor i heard speak once, believes it will soon be called a vital substance like minerals.

afterall, only half of heart attack victims have high cholesterol. just another scam to promote prescription drugs. i believe cholesterol meds are THE most widely prescibed BTW.

so go ahead and eat your bacon (in moderation). just don't forget to exercise and drink lots of water! :D

good link kyle! it's ironic that pro athletes and doctors live shorter lives than junk food joe. :D

stress may be a bigger factor than diet.

You guys have a lot of it covered, but there's always more...

You should have wrapped it in bacon?

William0882 04-03-2009 12:06 AM

We can fuel a bio-diesel with the drippings.
More bacon, more fuel.

That pizza burger looks like something I should make for a party!

GasSavers_maximilian 06-12-2009 03:07 PM

I hate bacon (and vodka), personally, but here you go: Bakon Vodka.

SuperHX 06-12-2009 04:23 PM

That is just wrong, but in the right way - beautiful bacon

Dogs don't know it isn't B A C O N !

Snax 06-12-2009 06:13 PM

I still lament Taco Bell taking the Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito off of their menu!

dkjones96 06-12-2009 06:22 PM

That vodka is just wrong! Looks like something I would buy for display purposes.

I like vodka, I use it in cooking a lot since I learned how to do infusions. I have a small bottle of my cooking vodka that I made with some McCormiks montreal steak seasoning. It's superb!

kamesama980 06-13-2009 09:10 AM

holycow: now I'm hungry... that oughta be enough to live off of for a few days :-p just cook that up, toss in the fridge, cut a slice and heat.

ok, you guys gotta get some nutrition, so...

get some triscuits, "real" guacomole(or make your own), a tomato, a sweet onion, and maybe some low fat cheese. put your bacon on it and enjoy.

zero_gravity 06-13-2009 07:50 PM

i think i saw this exact thing on HMT a while ago. those hoodlums can be good for a laugh sometimes.

Snax 06-14-2009 06:55 AM

A donut shop in Portland, OR also sells what has to be the best maple bar on earth quite simply because it's a damn good maple bar, but more importantly has bacon on top! Many more unusual yet oddly delicious combos to try . .

Bacon Tea.

dkjones96 06-23-2009 06:55 AM

While I think that's a little gross, like jalapeno ice cream, I feel I need to buy that and try it.
