We've always known a more efficient car could be built. With 38 years in the auto industry, I recently found myself laid off with all my tools and lots of time on my hands. So I took the opportunity and built a very advance lean burn fuel system that I designed several years ago. This little processor will double your MPG,also giving you a serious reduction in emissions. This is a add on system with a under dash control panel and can be adjusted to driving conditions, it will also give a slight improvement in horse power. Not only did Fuel Doctor make my V8 full size pickup get 400MPG, but it made my truck able to fly.

The effect that this Fuel Doctor has on women is pretty impressive. Unfortunately its natural healing powers reversed my vasectomy and I impregnated nine women in two weeks before I realized. They all had twin boys. Now I have 18 sons and was spending most of my money on child support and condoms. And that isn't even counting the three I already had.

Luckily, the Fuel Doctor saved me more money in gas than I actually spent on it, so now the oil companies pay my child support. The condoms though, I still have to buy them myself.

Old school mpg accuracy, I'm operating my 1968 V8 Dodge on a 2 gallon semi-transparent gas tank, marked in 1/10th gallon increments, so I can be sure of mpg's on short trips. From my house to the city limits of Morganton NC is exactly 12 miles, I use 4/10th of a gallon of gas making this trip at 55 mph regularly with my V.A.L.B.S fuel processor turned on this same trip takes 1 gallon with it turned off. V.A.L.B.S, Very Advanced Lean Burn System, is a fuel processor that I designed and built. It gives me control of my fuel mixture from a control panel under the dash and has more than doubled my mpg at 55 mph, getting 30 mpg and at 45mph I get more than 40 mpg. I'm sorry if this offends anyone as I have been designing and building fuel systems for more than 38 years. Thank You for your time, Cal Chapel

I would not purposefully run a 1968 V8 lean. Its not designed for it. Detonation can ruin an engine real fast.

I think you'd be safe up to about 18:1 air/fuel ratio under most circumstances. I think that most carbs would allow a ratio between 12.5:1 and 18:1, give or take. When F/I became the boss, the air/fuel ratio was stuck at 14.7:1 (stoichiometric), since that gave the cleanest burn for emissions.

The VX runs up to a 24:1, but it required special work to be done to the valves and head in order to get that mixture to burn completely. A second set of intake valves opening just a crack so that the fuel collects near the plug, for example.

Wow, so dashboard-controlled carb mix has just been invented by you hah? Hallelujiah! Did you know there's a big red knob on the dash of every Cessna 150 that controls the carb mixture? :rolleyes: How about the dash mixture control system Edelbrock used to sell?

Thank you for your cooperation-Here's an update on V.A.L.B.S It would appear that big oil has some how ($$$) influenced the US patent office so that Thermal Fuel Induction Systems and street legal Hydrogen Isolators like V.A.L.B.S can only be marketed as performance devices, even though V.A.L.B.S more than doubles mpg while only increasing horse power to 20-25%. So if it takes more than 1 year to get a patent, I'll just publish a how to manual with diagrams and let my fellow gear heads decide what to call it.

Hey I got one of those!!!

I got it for free at a car expo, the guy at the stand didn't know if it worked or not and I said I'd try it and let him know.

Boy does it make a difference!!!!!

When you plug it in at first there is nothing. You think, ok, but bare with me, this is going to get exciting.

When you fire the engine up an amazing thing happens. A green light comes on, it's real pretty at night. The only other thing I noticed after driving with it for a few tanks was that it takes up the power point for my radar detector.

I have kept accurate fuel records of my LS V8 for over 50,000 miles and can categorically tell you these things sure look pretty at night... if you like green lights in your power socket and don't want to run a radar detector, or have lost your socket plug and need something to fill the hole.

I think you all owe it to your selves to buy one.

I'd never rubbish the results of someone who has had a go, and I wish you luck with your project. Having tried a fuel vapour system that we ran through a clear transparent line so we could literally see the engine running on "air" (well gas is invisible) we found that mpg went up a lot but that power was so pathetic it couldn't pull a maggot off a pork chop. Talk about constipated Cal, you hear what I'm saying? That car could not pass a thing unless we switched the normal fuel supply back on... and when we did that it got about the same mpg as it should have with a good tune.

Well, to add to the entertainment value, a representative of the company making the Fuel Doctor actually threatened to sue us because a member had taken one apart and posted pics of the inside along with a schematic. The guy just would not shut up, even after I deleted the entire thread that contained the post he objected to. Constantly PM'ing me daily. I finally had to ask what more did he want? I deleted the entire thread with the offending information, then informed him that if he really wanted to sue the site, that it was based in Bulgaria. He finally left me alone.

How come Carguy only shows 3 posts for all these posts here?
The fuel Doctor has to be wired to a plug connected directly to your battery for it to work properly, not through the ignition switch. Doesn't everyone know that?
Carguy went from 12mpg to 30mpg which is not too impossible with the lean air fuel ratio that can be achieved with trimming the injectors. We all know most V8 engines ran on the rich side anyway to burn fuel as much as possible.

He only has 3 posts, but many others have quoted his post. It is possible to have your post count lower than what is listed though. Posts made in the off-topic areas of the forums do not raise your post count.
