Wanted: CRX HF with A/C, other CRX with A/C
Have sold the Nissan Altima and am ready to pick up the CRX. Either a DX with A/C and automatic, or a CRX HF, MUST have A/C. Trying for $2000 or under, even better $1500 and under.

Bump. Still looking for the CRX. Have looked at a few, trying not to go to California if I can avoid it. I had found an HF from someone here on the boards, but they have sold it now.
I do have cash in hand if you've got a CRX with air conditioning you are looking to get rid of. Will also look at a VX with air. A/C is most important feature! |
early '89 CRX HF with A/C ....sure!
I may be selling mine soon (early '89 HF...the lighter of the 2nd gen HF's since the seatbelts are mounted into the body, NOT the door). The late '89 through the '91 had the seatbelts in the (heavy) doors. My HF has A/C and (depending upon whether you want them) beautiful '93 Prelude seats without any stains or rips. ...Otherwise you can have the CRX seats instead. I just gave this car a rebuilt head....but not because of running problems; I did this because I went in to replace an oil leak at the head gasket (NOT, I repeat NOT a coolant/cooling issue. NO overheating. This car ran fantastic! I just wanted to get rid of the typical Honda oily head gasket leak...Honda has a TSB out on this). So, because of this, it has a new timing belt, water pump, head gasket, rebuilt & super-lightly- & professionally milled/resurfaced cylinder head to accommodate the newly mating gasket. I also replaced the distributor O-ring, cam seal, oil pan gasket. This CRX is just about ready for another 200K.

I have sent you a PM.

Brian- just out of curiosity- what kind of mpg are you getting in your CRX HF?
101mpg- no reason to be concerned, I am not interested in buying this car, I just want to know how his numbers compare to the VX mpg numbers. |
Craigslist rocks, I just found five 4 cylinder Dakota's near me so I thought I should return the favor, here are HONDA CRX's that I found in Richmond, VA:

I love it so much that I've gone ahead and spent some $$$ making it nicer. Here it is before I got it painted because of the flaking clear coat on roof, the hood, and all over the back and both bumpers were cracked, plus the wrong shade of blue passenger side fender: https://img402.imageshack.us/img402/1...ersideful6.jpg https://img104.imageshack.us/img104/1...defrontsl3.jpg You can see a small BB sized door ding around the middle of the door: https://img174.imageshack.us/img174/3...gersidejs2.jpg You can see the poor clear coat on sides of car and on rear of bumper: https://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3...iderearyg0.jpg Seats Before: https://img530.imageshack.us/img530/6194/90689997lg3.jpg Here it is after I got it painted: https://img247.imageshack.us/img247/6...erssideng3.jpg https://img187.imageshack.us/img187/4376/frontxj5.jpg https://img291.imageshack.us/img291/2...sideangpo0.jpg https://img183.imageshack.us/img183/8...erside3un1.jpg Seats After: https://img175.imageshack.us/img175/3426/67993270sz3.jpg |
70Dimer- Thanks for the mpg info- that's a very nice looking car.
Its interesting that my 87 DX Civic (same color as your CRX) has the same clear coat flaking issue and even has the same front passenger fender color mismatch as yours did! |
Brian - I have picked up a DX (you'll start seeing threads) but am still interested in your HF. Please PM me with your contact info.
