Gotta love cold weather

3 cars in the house, 2 car garage. Have to park on the street, no block warmer.

Gotta love 29*F cold starts and a 1.5 mile downhill coast that takes 20*F from the engine

Either way, can't complain - getting better milage than I did in August thanks to the scangauge and this forum.

Yup, but I'm more concerned with the clutch and bottom end of the motor

Won't be able to tackle those until mid-December.

Remember the posts I made in another thread about blocking my radiators (not just my grilles)? It doesn't seem to help. I've got cardboard directly against the exposed portion of radiator on the VW, and it still takes forever to warm up, partially due to EOC. I've got to put the upper grille block back in place, it's letting a little air reach the radiator there.

The thing bout s series saturns is that the radiator isn't visible from teh front. There's a black piece behind the grill that diverts air downwards, where it goes over a verticle spring loaded piece of plastic, and comes back up to get to the radiator.

A partial belly pan would give more warm up benefits than a grill block for the smaller vehicles that have electric fans. The grill block does help with the aero though.
