GasSavers.org Bumper Stickers

Okay - I've been tasked with getting bumper stickers made for GasSavers.org.

First I need to know how many people will buy a bumper sticker to support the site. In the $6-$7.50 range, postpaid. I'll have to have PayPal to accept payments, I'm afraid, but that should be okay. Most have PayPal.

Second - design will likely be:

GasSavers.org
Helping You Save at the Pump

Similar to what the logo at the top is - just the words - GasSavers.org large at the top.

Likely black or dark blue on a white background. Standard Bumper Sticker size. Not vinyl applied letters. May do those for the future.

Will likely have a "magnetic" option. Bumper sticker will be applied to a magnetic background so you can remove it if wanted. Make sure to check your bumper or wherever you will apply it for magnetic ability. Cost to be determined.

Let me know your thoughts, and for sure let me know (in this thread) how many you would purchase.

I don't know if it wouldn't be a popular thing, but I think a 2 line bumper sticker on white vinyl saying something like :

This Vehicle gets ______ MPG
WWW.GasSavers.ORG

So you can change it with a dry erase marker when you do your fillups...

I am interested in 2 of those bumper stickers.

jay, the only issue that I could see with that is that the bumper sticker is on the outside of the car and people like to mess with things so that number may change quite a bit (and not because the owner changes it). it is still a good idea.

I need to figure out how to bring up old paypal accounts so that I can pay you but sounds good. it probably isn't hard, I am just feeling extra lazy today. I'll get it figured out.

I don't know... How many people are just walking around with dry erase markers in their pockets? I guess someone if they wanted to be malicious could write on the sticker with a Sharpie, but then I guess it doesn't matter what you have on there. If they're gonna write on your car, they're gonna write on your car.

my point was that 38.36 mpg becomes 8.36 mpg really easy with a licked thumb.

dry erase has definite advantages but disadvantages as well

I don't think I have the space -- my car's already loaded down with bumper stickers and advertising. But I'll buy one to support the effort.

Would it be too weird to put it on the front bumper? :p

How about a peel off type plastic that you can put inside your back window? This way you can take it off or put it on. Kinda like Color-forms! :p

I like the magnet idea, but people steal 'em.

I hate bumper stickers because they are hard to take off.

I hate stickers inside the back window because they are difficult to remove when there is rear defrost.

Like, the static cling kind? That's good.

The problem with stuff that goes on the inside of the window is if you have dark tinted windows.

On second thought, I can just carefully tape a standard bumper sticker inside my back window. I think that the bumper sticker is probably the most cost effective way to go...

it will also serve the needs of most. I think that is a good way to start and then if there is a market (a want) for the other types, they could come later
