5 Wire VX O2 Sensor price drop
 

I just noticed that Advance Auto and AutoZone are listing Bosh 5 wire wide band O2 sensors - VX exact fit at $199. I remember back in March the lowest retail was ~$350. Now they seem to be readily available under $200. I though Honda kept the price of this sensors up by limiting supply to discourage they use in dyno tuning. Any explanation for this?

Demand increased, VX's are getting older, more and more O2 sensor to change, :D .

hehe, but 350 seems high, I changeg it last year and didnt pay that much, from honda dealership (CAN$ +...)

BIBI - Honda US list price for this sensors is $480. Lowest dealership price I've seen is Majestic Honda - currently $336. Are you talking about the same 5 wire sensor?

I will look at my invoice paper and will tell you the exact price... yeah a 5 wire. Maybe it wasnt from the dealer but I will verify.

How about $99 w/free shipping for an L1H1 !!!

I have found an astonishing value in an apparent L1H1 o2 sensor. Another member posted this site and I followed up on it and am happy to say that it darn well may be the real deal. The sensor is visually identical to the l1h1 oem Honda that was on my VX and is stamped made in Japan with an internal resistor. I ordered it from this company: https://www.autopartsdirecttoyou.com

o2 sensor is plug and play, everything matched. After installing this sensor the VX mileage jumped from about 40.5 to 44.8mpg on my first partial tank. More noticeable is the improved engine throttle response in the crucial lean burn rpm zone in the 1500 to 2500 area where I had a bad stumble.

I had tried a genuine 5-wire Bosch replacement but it threw a CEL immediately. I would stay away from Bosch as they are hit and miss. The resistor is external.
