Canadian VX with CA parts?

Hey guys,
I recently purchased a '94 VX with about 115,000 miles. I noticed by the hood latch that there is a sticker/plate that says "Manufactured in Canada" so I assumed it was the Fed model. I then realized that the O2 sensor has 4 wires and the ECU read P07 L02. Doesn't this mean it's a CA car and not the Fed?

If I wanted to go about converting it to the Fed, would I just need the A00 ECU and the 5 wire O2 sensor? Is there anything else I need or is it just remove old and insert new? Thanks in advance

I believe all VXs were manufactured in Canada. The two indicators of a federal VX are the 5 wire O2 sensor and the upshift light on the instrument panel. So yes, you have the CA model w/ the 4 wire O2 sensor and P07 L02 ECU. Others with more knowledge than me can tell you what's needed to convert to the Federal model.

My California vx has an additional emission sticker on the under side of the hood which states it complies with California standards. Check for that. Curiously however, my '94 has the 49 state 5 wire sensor.

The wiring harness and connectors are different on the two versions. It's not a simple plug and play swap. There is detailed writeup of the conversion elseware on this forum: https://www.gassavers.org/showthread.php?p=49664
