Not sure how but today I may have set a personal record

aalb1 12-29-2008 09:08 AM

So what did you do different?
Congrats man... Now Blow this record out of the water!

Philip1 12-29-2008 09:43 AM

not a clue I guess the constant 12% TPS helped. hills suck at 12% but flats are nice.

Philip1 12-29-2008 09:54 AM

This is not a personal record but it is the best I've ever done on winter mix

I'm keeping fairly consistent with my summer average too! I can't wait to see my numbers once spring comes around.

OK went out and ran my test loop again after removing the airdam extension and I now am at 40+mpg a new personal record WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bowtieguy 12-29-2008 02:30 PM

congrats! my best trip is ~49, and my car is much smaller.

Philip1 12-29-2008 04:18 PM

I hope I can keep this up

collegekid01 12-29-2008 08:46 PM

hmmm removed the air dam? do you think that would help on all cars?

theholycow 12-30-2008 03:48 AM

I wondered about that too. We generally accept that extending the air dam is a good thing, but maybe that's not universal. Maybe on some cars letting the air go under is better than plowing even more air up and over.
