I can't get into my account!
 

Okay, background. Awhile back I had to change my email address. My old one was taken over by some unsavory person I used to know.

I had joined this site using that email address.

I have since made a new email address and thought I had changed most sites over, but I missed this one.

I went to log in and add in several entries for my gas log since I've forgotten to put them in for over a month. My password for the site was saved by my computer, but it didn't work. I tried some other possible passwords I thought I might have changed it to and forgotten about, but none of them work.

First I had the site send a message to administrators. That was a few days ago and I haven't heard anything.

Then I joined up yesterday and messaged the administrators through this new account. I still haven't heard anything, so I figured perhaps someone on here (a moderator, perhaps?) could point me in the right direction.

Please help me get my account back!

Send a PM to bobc455 or 101mpg. One of them should be able to help.

What was your old username? In the PM, include any identifying information that could confirm your identity, stuff that only you would know.

I didn't see a message, so maybe the message only went to the admins. (I'm only a supermod, 101mpg might have seen it since he's an admin)

Anyhow, I'm a bit confused about what you're trying to do. Do you want to reset your email address? Or your password? Or both?

And, what is your original account name (if you remember)?

I messaged 101mpg back with my account info.

I only sent it to admins, sorry. I figured I'd start there since I wasn't sure mods would have the ability to do anything. I figured if this didn't work I'd message mods asking for them to help too.

Glad it worked out.

Just for grins I did discover what I could have done- I could have read or modified the email address on your account, but I didn't have access to your PW or anything.

Well, it hasn't worked out yet.

101mpg apparently sent a new password notification out, but to my old email address.

So I'm still waiting.

If you can change my email address in the account, that works too. :) Then perhaps I can request a new password and it will go to the email I can actually use.
