civic FITV repair

Gents:

Just finished fixing my fast idle valve via this link:

https://www.honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=1564019

simptoms were surging idle after warm- up. Following the fix the idle settled down nicely.
best repair I have done in a while - no new parts - just a little twisting action from a screw driver!

yea this is always the first thing i look into when anyone with a civic has idling issues.

on my previous civics i would actually just take this part off complete and plug all the holes and lines. the iacv did a great job maintaining a cold idle.

i avoid going to the idle screw at all costs.

this valve has been screwed all the way in on my car for years. no erratic idle since.

You guys screw the valve all the way completely down?

As far as I know, from the factory, they are adjusted a few turns out. I tried to adjust mine all the way down with no success. The only way I could get the car to run proper was with it adjusted a few turns out.
