WTB 13"-14" lightweight rims
 

I'm not looking for anything nice, just a decent price.

Yeah I wasn't looking for a new set of rims bowtieguy, thanks for the input though. aalb1, I am up here next to Eureka, 270 miles north of SF. I recently acquired a 1991 Hf with the oem steel rims. Still trying to hit 50mpg.

When looking for wheels you want to make sure they are a 4x100 bolt pattern.

If you come across Miata wheels they will fit with 5mm wheel spacers you buy at an autoshop.

yeah miata rims would be nice or really any 4 bolt lightweight bbs rims.

if you're "still trying" to achieve 50MPG in your current CRX HF ('88-'91), I would expect that you probably have the California model (with the shorter-geared transmission), since the Federal HF's (in my experience) have NO problem achieving 50+MPG. For a California model to reach 50MPG, it seems that everything has to be just right (tire pressure, low wind, low/no inclines, and definitely LOW speeds). But for a Federal HF, higher speeds, etc. do not deter this vehicle from surpassing the 50MPG marker. The trade-off between these two cars however, is the fact that the California model can actually leave an intersection, whereas the Federal HF has SUCH tall gearing that it really is a slug from a standstill. Not sure if you were aware of any/all of this, but I thought I'd share my experiences, as I currently own both types (CA/FED). -Brian

Miata rims also fit if you take them to a machine shop and have them CNC'd. like I did. My Miata BBS mesh are super duper light, and they look fantastic. The guy only charged me $100 for the machining....and now they fit on my CRX exactly as they're supposed to...with no excess weight since they require NO spacers....and I don't have to cringe at the thought of any wheel studs shearing off, since I'm not pushed out any further. These rims look superb on the CRX. I topped them off with the Nokian 175/65/14's that came on some earlier Prius. Those tires are awesome!
