Hang in there; it'll come up.

True, but I think the airplane example wasn't the best choice. A lot of the issues I've had with air travel have been a result of poor customer service... Issues that the airlines could deal with, but doing so might cut into their profit margins, so they make it company policy to have the various reps rip you off every chance they get and tell you to go eff yourself if you complain.

That was hilarious and spot on.

as always, Shatto, interesting and entertaining.

reminds me...

someone wise once said(paraphrasing) that situations and circumstances cannot dictate who i am. happiness is temporary state of mind, joy is always or never present.

one must be content with whom he/she is, not with what he/she has or has not!

Not as succinct, but sounds like Yoda.

One should always be content with who they are, but also strive to be who they might become.

The first phone number I can remember was PARK 33471 or 723-3471. That was when we transitioned from operators (PARK) to direct dialing (72).

I remember Air Shows when the first supersonic jets did low altitude supersonic passes and you experienced a sonic boom.

Remember Fluid Drive?

The first commercial IBM computers came out at about the same time as power steering in a Desoto.
