Ave MPG reporting issue, and Total "garage" costs/consumption by months?

My Ave MPG for my best car on my "Dashboard" shows 39.6 and on my "profile" shows 40.8. Why the discrepancy?

Second: is there a way to view my total garage consumption or costs, by week, month etc.? I recently stopped driving two cars, and cut the commute. I'd like to see a total "garage" or household cost change, by month, if possible...

Your dashboard uses a running average of your last ten fuel-ups instead of your overall average. Here's more info in the FAQ: Why are the numbers on my dashboard different from the vehicle profile page?

We don't have a way to view total garage numbers. I think that would be a useful feature.

Copy on the Dashboard vs. Profile. Thanks!

If you ever "install" the total garage data/charts/graphs etc...that would be awesome. Being able to see and show my wife total fuel costs for the family as a total by week/month, etc....that would be handy and tell a good story. Thanks for a great site!

I always add up my total garage costs for the year as well, but the "annual reports" feature does about 80% of the work for me, by conveniently separating costs by year for each vehicle. I would be happy to have such a feature though, especially to get more detailed accounting (by month especially).
