D15b8 into 89 crx hf. egr?

I'm currently assembling my former go fast junk box as a daily driver mpg mobile.

It's an 89 hf that is getting a 92-95 cx engine(d15b8). I got just about everything sorted out, but I'm wondering about the lack of an egr valve with the cx intake manifold. Is the pm8 smart enough to know if this is missing? Have any of y'all removed the egr from your hf?

It would probably be best to use the original P05 ecu for the D15B8

Yeah, if I want to pay to do an obd1 conversion. Purchasing a dizzy, ecu, n harness will set me back a couple hundred bucks.

Look at the specs on the d15b6 compared to the b8. It's pretty much the same engine. 8 valves... 60-70ish hp...

I think finding an hf intake manifold w/egr if need be, would be cheaper. Ya, know what's even more cost effective. Not buying anything. I guess I'll plug things in and let y'all know if it throws any codes or gets less than 40 mpg.

The car is running. I does throw a code 12. However it's getting good mileage. I haven't gone through a whole tank yet, but I'll post up mileage when I do...
