96-2005 honda civic hx a good buy?

looks like both generations have the same epa at 31/39 for the manual, Im more towards the 01-05 one, just wondering if there is any extra problems or hassles with these compared with a normal civic LX or EX.

also what are your mpg on those? I used to have a 94 Dx and gotten 45 mpg average before I destroyed that number and went to 30 after moving to a big city.

ALL CVT trans suck (1996-2005) and avoid the 2001-2002 cause they have strut problems.

I bought a 2000 Civic HX on CL for $4000 cash with only 88K miles.

anyone know the rpm's at 60 mph? and also does the 02 sensor cost alot more than the lx/ex just like the VX 02 sensor costs more than the others?
