I'm looking for one for myself (Kinda) but I'm still waffeling between the CRX HF and a Civic VX... as well as the cash for a project =)

Good Luck!

if i had to redo it all over again i would choose the hf. Parts for the hf are way cheaper than the vx. No lean burn and no heated O2 sensor that cost 300$

The down side to the HF is that it can only hold two peoples. I have a HF myself and there's certain time when I just wish it can hold a few more peoples back there LOL. Your solution to the expensive VX problem is very easy, all you have to do is just buy the CA ECU and a regular 4 wires oxygen sensor. The VX run much beter in the CA mode too because it doesn't have lean burn.

without lean burn you might as well buy a cx same tranny as a vx...lean burn is where its at.

Well it depends because the VX has 20 more horse than the cx.

Not to mention probably has more low end torque because below the Vtec threshold it can be more optimized for that RPM range while on the CX, it has to have a little bit of high end a little bit of low end. In a sense, the Vtec-E on the VX gives it a huge advantage over the CX. If the VX's VTEC didn't work, running in the 12 valve mode, it'd probably have the same HP as the CRX HF.
