Old Enough to Remember This?

Got my drivers license about the same time they were made.

Not old enough to remember 'em new, but studied enough to know them. Would be an interesting little pickemup to have, or a Ranchero. Could be a nice efficient way to get into a pickup for the non-modern like myself.

My friend's dad had one for many years. Weird in a very cool sort of way.

I'm not even old enough to have seen any of these on the road.

I've seen them on the road, and once in a blue moon I still do.
What I really like is seeing old restored trucks doing work. That's so cool to me. |
I see them in junk yards every now and then. There are also still a few rolling around the bay.

Yeah, I remember those. Chevrolet had a Corvair version of those as well. But here is my favorite:
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...h_Pritsche.jpg When I was a kid, we had the microbus version...kinda like this one: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...ransporter.jpg Two cylinder, two stroke, fuel injected, front wheel drive, kinda looks like a catbus...very interesting vehicle (but it just couldn't take being used as a TV service van running around the hills in La Crescenta, CA) |

2 stroke, 2 cylinder engine. It sounds like my dad's lawn tractor has a better engine. That has a 4 cycle, 2 cylinder 22 HP Briggs & Stratton engine in it.
