anytime injectors are swapped the car needs to be retuned plain and simple. not only from a performance standpoint but also from a driveability standpoint.....especially on later model obd2 vehicles. the ECU has no clue that you changed injectors and will try to compensate but it will never be perfect.

if you want the best mileage and performance after an injector swap you need to datalog your STFT's, and LTFT's then tweak your MAF transfer function accordingly, along with loading the correct value files for the injectors you have.

since when did the windsor v8's have 14lb injectors? i have yet to ever see a mid 80's+ fuel injected 302/351 with something other than 19lb or 24lb injectors for the lightning and cobra.

Hmmm I was collecting info a while back for sources of 19lb injectors, and was told some of the crown vics, econolines and trucks had 14lb on the windsors. It was as a caution, "Not all lower output windsors have 19lb..." Coming to look up the info again, I'm thinking that where I got it from the first time may have confused the windsor and modular V8s.

Wait, maybe that is right... look up the 14lb injector for the '95 Escort at rockauto.com and it crosses to this lot...

True, but swapping to same style/type injector in a +/- 25% range is likely to work reasonably well, because that's about how much room the ECU has for the trim. Going to injectors with significantly different characteristics, open time etc, like from 4 pintle bosch/ford to GM ball type isn't gonna leave you with a happy car though even if pph is same.
