WTF: Civic VX ECU - P07-A00

Greetings,
I am looking to buy a new or used+functional ECU for a 1993 Civic VX Manual Transmission Federal model. The part number on mine is 37820-P07-A00-670-111097, and I believe either a P07-A00 or a P07-A01 (for automatic transmissions?) will work.

I need the functional ECU for the problems described in this thread. Apparently the part of my ECU that controls the EGR valves is broken.

Thanks for anyone who might be able to help!

I didn't know that VX came in automatic.

P07-A00 is the number on the original ECU for the '92 and '93 VX and P07-A01 had some sort of refinement for the '94 and '95 cars. We are running A01s in both of our VXs and the crossover points between leanburn on and off seem smoother with less chance of hesitation. So much so that the first time we were running one of the A01s, we thought it wasn't going into leanburn.

There are two on eBay right now: https://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

The one for 140 is a ridiculous price. No need to pay that. Also, you can source a lot of parts on hondamarketplace.com. I've been using that to find the little bits and pieces. For instance I found the P07 and the 5 wire on there for 95 shipped (O2 was used for a month), and I found a wiring harness I can hack apart to add to my CX harness to effectively create a VX harness, and it was 35 shipped. A lot of good finds for the vigilant buyer. And I've seen a P07 on there recently as well in the Mid-West specific forum.

Good luck, and happy hunting.

EDIT: Word of warning, the people at hondamarketplace are all tuner kids, not the same crowd as you find here, so just be ready when they mouth off. :) On the up side, I've bought 4 items from there in the last so many weeks, and all have been good deals and good sellers, but as with all things, buyer beware.

Not in the states, that's for sure. :)
