National Geographic Magazine, back in the blue picture days;
Stories of Artic and Antarctic exploration, there were photos of food kept warm in the engine of the Caterpillar tractors that towed the sleds.

Up at work the chipmonks shoot out of are tail pipes before they turn into a meal when the engine starts. LOL!

The Alaska episode of Bizarre Foods had muffler meat. They had a small, metal casserole shaped container that mounted right on the muffler of a snow mobile. Sounded like something you pick up from a Wal-mart or some such.

I liked the episode of Feasting on Asphalt where Alton Brown discovered the 12v "lunchbox ovens" at the truck stop, and tried to cook a meatloaf in one.
