My E-Mower

Well it has been a year in the making, I have chased down every electric lawn mower only to have it sold, or never get a call back from an add. I have thick grass and a neighbors previous electric lawn mower, an old Sunbeam would die in my lawn, too thick for a push and I cant keep a gas mower in my basement due to fumes. For the last year I have been cutting my lawn with a Toro weed wacker, that took an hour.

I got a 10 year old Briggs and Stratton electric for 25 bucks, almost new, previous owner used it to cut an 8 by 10 piece of lawn, I have two 8 by 10 pieces of lawn. The owner hit a spinkler head and bent the blade and notched it, so a new blade later and I have a lawn machine. Its a mulcher and I have never seen finer lawn clippings in my life, best of all, it folds up and stores in my basement.

congrats!

i gave up on my reel mower. neighbors on either side of me planted thick st. augustine grass and it's encroching on my lawn.

i'm in good shape, very strong for my size, and have a low center of gravity...it ain't happenin'! after a few weeks of rain came, i could hardly push thru it w/ a running start!

so, i'd end up adjusting the blade for my thin grass, then adjust again for the outer edges of thick stuff. FORGET IT! the reel mower is for sale.
