Front under belly pan 02 Q45

Infiniti has under belly panels but they are not perfectly flat.
Also since I installed the IMPUL body kit, it left a gap of 2 inches. I found some gray abs w/ dipples.

I went from 28.5 mpg at 62mph to 30.8mpg at 62mph

new flat panel, w/ the factory tire deflectors.

What is the rectangle opening for?

Where did you find the material?

Material: when pallets of soda or beer is delivered to stores, there seems to be this thin piece of dimmpled flexible abs between the pallet anf the cases....kinda a chusion....thus the dimpples.....it was perfect for the front section.
but I am using coroplsat the rest of the way

the retangle opening: not sure but possible to relieve air pressure.

I don't want to change too much of the factory "things" because in 2002 this car had had MILLIONS in reseach done before it ever came to the market.

For example: even thu CAI is advetized as having ALL kinds of upside over a stock airbox, NO one has ever been able to use one on an 02-06 Q45 and show ANY improvement.
so if there is a rectangle hole....I'm not going to seal it up.

i started in the rear.

I wanted to use one piece of the scrap. It's a solid piece. no ribs. Had to allow for the exhaust that drops below the flat line. I used a a/c vent screen to compensate.
also in the center of the IMPUL bumper at the bottom there is a ressession. I left this open. some place for the air that gets trapped above the pan to escape.

could of had the rear mufflers moved up but that would cost $60.

Nice work. I'm going to look for this dimpled material.

Wow....'this is not easy'! First it rained and was cold and I'm working in a carport. After I got back from church I got started then changed directions....had to call my daughter to run by Home depot....3 hours later.....night time sets in at 5:30....must have crawled under the car 100 times......
I only got the rear axle. Was trying to use one piece (59inches) for the twin mufflers and dual pipes.....not going to work......gonna have to leave split the sheet and go with mesh down the middle.

I'm using 1x2 wood to create mounting points so that the pan is 'level'.

:) That's looking pretty nice. Are you keeping it yellow? jw. what type of material is that? You said that you are using wood to hold up the panels? is it treated wood? jw. This would be a good project to do. Might wait until the weather gets warmer though. I've spent too much time in the unheated garage with the space heater and a bottle coca cola.:) Keep us posted on your progress
