Is there any way to get Manifold pressure reading in and OBD 2 auto? perhaps directly from an already existing sensor? or perhaps by installing and aftermarket gauge? What's the quickest cheapest way to make or install a gauge yourself? my car is a 95 scoobie with obd 2.

Intake manifold or exhaust manifold??

If intake, a simple vacuum gauge will do wonders, just t-off any existing vacuum line. These gauges are like $15 at most places. It'll show vac and pressure

Google search for "vacuum gauge"

well if the car comes with a map sensor, then a scan gauge should be able to pick up on that.

well, so, i found that the legacy has a vacuum sensor mounted by the wheel column, but having poked under the hood for quite some time it seems not so for the impreza 1.8L engine. it must be mounted somewhere else. following the tubing from the manifold, i think i found one 2 wire sensor, but couldn't read any voltage off that; i believe that was the knock sensor. the vacuum sensor must be better hidden somewhere on the impreza; anyone found it on this car?
