Newish battery and three tires, one tire brand new (original was deemed defective.) 75,000 responsibly driven miles on the legendary 1.8L. Proper maintenance, 3k mi oil changes since 24k miles. Unfortunately the power passes through a three speed tranny which provides only mid thirties mpg at best. The optional four speeds are everywhere and are an easy swap.
