EBAY VX o2 sensor?
 

Okay guys/gals,

Yes, this is another one of those VX o2 sensor threads! Anyways, from searching the forum, these puppies cost an arm and maybe both legs. So naturally, I searched ebay and found some in the $100 range. That's pretty cheap considering it's the 5 wire.

Anybody use one of these ebay ones? Personally, I've bought nearly all my auto parts off of Ebay (including stuff for my MR2 and previous cars). I've yet to have anything defect on me.

I don't need an o2 at the moment, but it's always good to plan ahead in case I do need one and find out that it's $500 bizzillion dollars!

It looks like the same ones from that site posted before for the 'cheaper' 02 sensors. Some have reported that it worked for them, apparently. IMO, if you can afford, just go for the NTK/NGK model. Its hard to know without having both and driving one over the other to see if either does anything more than just kill the CEL from happening. At least NGK is Japanese and is still cheaper than the $500+ the Honda dealer tries to charge.

Yes, I've searched that people have been using those with good results. But I'm a cheap bastard :p

Personally, I probably have to replace the LAF in our VX as well. I'm waiting until I've other work on the car like the timing belt, drive belts, and what not before spending money to 'save' money. Its a luxury compared to those other things at this point. I'm wondering how a Mopar CCC would work in the VX? Since my sensor is currently fried I'm sure it wouldn't hurt, save for the plugs fouling perhaps, but they go every 1 1/2-2 years anyway.

Otherwise, my battery was low in fluid today so decided to top it off with distilled water. Kinda wished I had some battery acid to mix into it some, instead; though with the summer we're having already the excess in water will probably boil out. I'm guessing a bike shop locally carries some battery acid. Its best not to dilute the acidity level just by filling it up.

IF it makes it to this winter I'll be happy.

Yeah I bought the walker o2 sensor off ebay and it worked like a charm. No more check engine lights.

how many miles have you logged in it so far? what's your typical gas mileage?

It all depends on the season. I get on avg 45 mpg in the summer and 39/40 in the winter.

Here you go guys. This one will save you all kinds of money. All you will have to do is swap the connectors from the old one to the new one. A 5 min job. I doubt that is a wideband O2 sensor.
