vx fuel injector resistance

Has anyone ever measured the resistance of there vx fuel injectors? Mine is 12 ohms. Is that right? I'm trying to make sure I have the right injectors or don't know if they have been swapped?

knowing the resistance isn't enough to tell you if you have the right injectors because some injectors could push out more fuel than others.

as far as i can tell they are stock honda injector's? from what i previously read on this site all 92-95 stock civic injectors are 240cc's correct??? so whether you have a si or vx the injectors are interchangeable correct???(except for how they connect) so i was trying to find out if its the injector resistance is different between them?

The fastest way to tell is to go to an online auto parts website like rockauto.com or autozone.com and see if the si and vx injector part numbers are the same.

I agree w/ Erik. RockAuto shows listings for injectors specific to the submodel. The VX replacements don't have P07, but rather P05(isn't that the DX?); and Si has injector parts related to P06 and P10.

Also, the ECU code is at the end of the string for the part number as well. If you needed replacement VX injectors, for instance, and there are none specified for VX(P07), you'd be best lining up a P05 with the right ECU like an A00 or A01; from the 92/93 - 94/95 years ECU code. That's my best deduction.

So, from that I would avoid alternate parts that would probably work, just less likely to have any problems with one specific for your engine. That way too the warranty is still covered as they can't say "you purchased the wrong part for your car" in case of malfunction.

Injector part number: 4G1007(Si) & 4G1296(VX) when comparing ARTEX/WELLS injectors on rockauto.com

ok, but i was hoping someone would do a resistance check of vx injectors to verify just for my own curiosity? i got some used injectors from ebay from an si and they were 12 ohms. so i checked my vx injectors and they were 12 ohms??? so i was unable to see a difference other than how they connect?

get the owner's manual and it will specify the Ohms range. I have a digital copy if you want it.

GasSavers_cracker 06-27-2010 03:02 PM

sure, thks.

GasSavers_cracker 06-27-2010 03:19 PM

well the manual says all injectors are from 10-13 ohms so i believe all injectors are same except how they connect???
