Toyota Left Out Of Top 10 Affordable Small Cars

Re: Toyota Left Out Of Top 10 Affordable Small Cars
As I'm sure you are aware, the #9 Scion xB is a Toyota product. I agree it's strange that a "proper" Toyota, specifically the Yaris, is not among the top choices. It seems to be well represented in others' rankings. Then again the Hyundai Accemnt is conspicuously absent but the MSRP: $19,400 - $29,100
Mini Cooper makes the cut. |

Even stranger: I had assumed the #9 position was shared by a three way tie. Now, helped by rereading your initial post, I see that the rankings jump to #12 after the Scion.

It is a three way tie. The list jumps to 12 because the #10 and 11 slots are taken by the two other #9s.
The Mini barely met their cut off price. I wouldn't think of it as affordable with the other options available, but you can easily push a Cruze, and likely other econo cars, over the $20,000 limit the article set. |
