Does anybody have any info about the addition of CD on a pickup?
How mutch can a person cut before there is a heat problem.
Can a person trick the computer to think it is at a high altitude because it gets greater mpg at 4000+ elevation 34-37??? compared 24-28??
any input would be welcomed

Pickups have cD, they don't add cD. they're around .4-.5 or so I've read somewhere. look in the aerodynamics section for info on how to fix it.

What are you cutting that would cause heat problems? do you mean blocking the radiator? block it one opening at a time till it starts running warm. remember to make it temporary for summer and using the truck as a truck (hauling stuff=more load=more heat)

making it think it's at high altitude won't get you any mileage, it'll just run you lean to the point of crappy gas mileage. you probably get better mileage at altitude because you're going there and back (most cars DFCO to the point they save more gas going down than they use over average going up so it's a net gain. every car I've taken across hills/mountains, driven not-aggressively, has gotten 3-5 mpg better than average. I haven't done so since TRYING to max mpg. Might be a little affect from the decreased density causing you to open the throttle more to get the same mass of air in reducing pumping losses.
