Kammback

The only aerodynamic mods I've made to any of my cars is a grill block on the '88 Escort Pony, but have been considering also doing a Kammback on it. My question is, is there a typical number of degrees slope it should have coming off the existing roof? I was thinking probably no more than 15-20 degrees, but can anyone verify the best angle?

Re: Kammback

The number I keep seeing is the air won't stay attached beyond 11 degrees.

I would contact basjoos. he has his own website now. he based his on an airplane. we talked about his design for a while.

I think that it is 9, 10, or 11 percent. somewhere in that neighborhood.

I too think it's 11 (degrees, not percent), although I seem to remember asking about it once and being told that it's actually 13 degrees.

yes, degrees

it was a long night of tearing up a jeep so I wasn't in the best of mind states.

I can't find a protractor here at home, but maybe somebody has one handy and can measure the angle of basjoos' entire kammback and divide it by two.
