Greetings again to all.

I return after a long absence. I kinda forgot about this place, especially when I started heavily using Fuelly to track my MPG (gotta love the TXT update feature).

But it seems like a fun time to get back into the game. I've got a great car for MPG, and have got a good bike for fun.

that and I've moved to a place in which I need to really get back into the game of how to drive.

I live in CT now. With... TOPOGRAPHY! I used to live in the flat of Indiana. Now I've got to figure how to do well with the hills and curves.

But, thought I'd check in with the "old gang" or so.

Welcome back!

Approximately where in CT do you live?

The topography around here is quite conducive to P&G.

I live in the area around Willimantic.

I do like the fact that there are a good many hills, as there is approximately 6 miles of coasting I do on my 30 mile (round trip) commute. One stretch of 2 miles I don't have to touch the accelerator. (Can't EOC on that, due to needing about 4 points of good firm braking (55 down to 35) to maintain safe speeds, and my car has about 3/4 of a good brake in the vacuum booster with no engine running)

If you have rear drum brakes you can use the parking brake for planned braking...wouldn't want to do it with the expensive drum-in-disc parking brake shoes on my 4 wheel disc truck though.

Willimantic is just about next door to me. You might see me in my Buick.

I recently learned that you can pull up an elevation profile of trips in Google Earth. Just right click on route at the bottom of the turn by turn directions.

I used to live in Ft Wayne.

Not a pleasant place to live if you're a driving enthusiast.

Yeah, it's even flatter than Indy, where I currently reside. I used to live in Evansville and Anderson. Not exactly great driving cities.
