2001 Ford Escort Coupe ZX2
 

I have a chance to buy a 2001 Ford Escort Coupe ZX2 with only 28,000 miles on it. It is a 5 speed, 2.0 L .

Some have reported 37 mpg hwy.

It was driven by a grandmother (of course) and is one owner.

I will look at it tomorrow.

The reviews seem to favor this vehicle. The one flaw I see in common with owners is that it shakes at idle. I think this could be for the automatic transmission though.

Well I ended up buying a 2000 Mazda Protege (5 speed) with the 1.6L. It is a one owner vehicle with 132,000 miles.
It hasn't had a timing belt change so that is my first priority.
